BSN Gala 2011

Last night I performed at the Teachers College, Columbia University Black Student Network’s Gala! It was so elegant and fun. We celebrate Nia and Umoja principles and relished in our history and where we see our future. I read “The Key”, a poem I wrote when Obama got elected. I was able to connect with some great people and share our love of the arts. Sitting around such successful people inspired me. Despite how hard it’s going to be in the beginning, I know my heart is in the right place and my message will soon take flight. Pictures will be posted in the spoken word section soon. You can also see some pictures of the Gala on the BSN Facebook Page.

It’s all love,
S. Nikkole
