Inspiring other counselors & teachers

At my school yesterday, I had another book signing but this time I focused it on how to use the poems I wrote as a motivation for students and adolescent clients to talk and engage in difficult conversations about self esteem, self love, self worth and bullying.

Everyone seemed very interested and they gained a new appreciation for poetry as a form of therapy or catharsis hense the name of the book, My journey through poetry: a teenage catharsis. Finding someone else’s words to explain what is difficult for you to share is beneficial to deeper connection and understanding with others. I hope that these words can take life and inspire children, youth and parents everywhere to fight internalized hate and the other psychological effects of bullying.

Hopeful and driven,
S.Nikkole
