Happy Birthday Martin Luther King, Jr

I just performed at the Martin Luther King, Jr Birthday Celebration at Aberdeen Matawan Middle School. Today, He would have been 82. The theme was “Speak Up, Speak Out”. I truly enjoyed everyone’s performances especially Morgan’s ASL performance of my favorite song, “Imagine Me” by Kirk Franklin and the mine performances from Second Baptist Long Branch and Second Baptist Matawan. I really hope that these children and teens would grace the stage for my NJ Book Launch Party in March.

I performed Broken Angel. Despite my nerves and my mic cutting out, I still brought it with power. I performed it differently than normal adding a Spoken Word flair to it. You can see it in the Spoken Word section soon. Keep checking back, I will update you once I post it. You can also view the poem in the Poetry section

Before I sign off, remember:

“Faith is taking the first step even when you can’t see the whole staircase”- Martin Luther King, Jr

Hasta Luego,
