Last night was my first appearance since Moca in December. The Brooklyn Erotica event at the Social Butterfly put on by Rosa’s Resources was small in attendance but so much fun. I enjoyed networking with some great photographers, dancers and other poets. I will definitely be checking out some of the hairstylists… when I need a break from my braids… Cece Brown Sugah was great with her burlesque dance. I LOVE HER NAME!! OF COURSE, from one brown sugar to another! Rain Maker was cool too… He wasn’t too risque for my ears! Tasteful, I greatly appreciate that. Maybe a collab in the future? What do you think?

I just wish the competition was more than one round. I totally had more pieces to read… Triangle was a new piece. I am glad some people liked it. Suficiente was gonna be next… People at Moca seemed to like that one. You live and you learn right?
